We're gonna have two different weight capacities available for this hitch, that is a 20,000 pound, which is one we have in front of us here, and a 25,000 pound rating. Trying to pick out the correct hitch for you between the 20,000 pound and the 25,000 pound hitch, you want to go with the hitch that's closest to the weight rating of your camper without going over. So if you have an 18,000 pound camper, I would not go with the 25,000 pound hitch, I would go with the 20,000. more

Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider Review- Video
Today we're gonna be taking a look at the current line of Q Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches with slider for the Ford Towing Prep Package. More and more nowadays, we're seeing trucks that have shorter than eight foot beds on them, which comes in a problem when we go to tow in the fifth wheel, 'cause we want our hitch to be on the forward side of our rear axle. But that ends up putting our trailer extremely close to our cab. That's where our slider's gonna help out. When it comes time to make those tight turns, we can come to this vertical handle here on the side. We'll pull it out, rotate it back, and that'll allow the hitch to slide back a full 12", giving us a clearance to go around the turn and we'll lock into position so we can make that turn without fear of hitting our truck. more

This is a brick wheel hitch that will mount in your short bed, GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500. So you can tow your fifth wheel trailer. This does have the manual slide on it, so it is going to make sure that your short bed truck can pull your fifth wheel trailer and still make those tight turns when you need to, by moving your hitch back up to 14 inches. So basically when you find yourself in a situation where you need to make one of those slow, tight turns, you'll get out, you'll move the slide into the slide position here and that will allow you to very easily slide that back up to 14 inches so that you have that greater clearance. more

So this is a 5th wheel hitch that's gonna mount in your short bed F-250 or F-350 so you can tow your 5th wheel trailer. This hitch is going to have the manual slide feature and so especially for your short bed trucks where you have a little bit of clearance issues and when you're trying to make those tight turns, and this is going to allow you to get out of your truck, (lever clicks) move that lever into the slide position, and then the hitch can slide towards your tailgate up to 14 inches to provide that clearance that you need for your short bed pickup truck to make those slow speed turns safely. Then when you're straightened out, get everything lined up again and simply move that back (lever clicks) to the locked position there over top of your axle, so it's gonna have the weight distributed correctly for your regular speeds. So this is going to help prevent your trailer from making contact with your pickup during your sharp slow speed turns. more

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt A20 fifth wheel hitch with the S20 slider. This is going to be a full kit that drops into your ISR rail system and it's gonna give you a 20,000-pound towing capacity. Now, why you might want a kit like this is if you've got a truck bed that's shorter than eight feet. Not recommended for anything shorter than six feet. But in that range there, where your bed is a little bit shorter and you find yourself maybe with limited turning clearance for your truck and your fifth wheel, this can get you an additional 12 inches of clearance with the S20 slider, allowing the whole fifth wheel assembly to move back 12 inches, get you that additional clearance from your fifth wheel, and then move back whenever you're done getting that turning clearance. more

The whole purpose of a sliding type fifth wheel hitch like this one here is to allow us to get more cab clearance essentially. And so you're gonna find these a lot in short-bed type trucks, right Because in short beds this will sit a little bit closer up to the cab and not give us that extra clearance that we need. That way when we are trying to make real tight turns at the campsite or maneuver around into a parking lot or something like that, what we want to avoid is keeping this in this fixed position, making that tight turn and end up crashing our trailer into the cab corner of her truck right, not good. So with this setup, when you run into that type of situation, you're able to slide this back. more

Hey guys, Kevin at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT E16 5th Wheel Hitch. Operating this hitch is super simple. While your handle is down, it's not gonna be able to come out so it's locked in place so you know that your hitch isn't gonna be able to uncouple from your king pin. If you lift your handle up, you can kind of feel as you're lifting it up, it kind of pops up out of here so that you can actually uncouple. You can pull that slide jaw out, lock it in place and then you can also recouple up. So as you're pulling up to your trailer it is gonna tilt down. more

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Demco Hijacker UMS Double Pivot 5th Wheel Hitch. This 5th wheel hitch will mount into the bed of your 2016 through 2019 Chevrolet and GMC trucks with the factory installed towing prep package, and this will obviously then allow you to then tow your 5th wheel trailer with your tow vehicle. It is gonna be very easy to get installed since we're using that factory prep package, we'll just pull out the pins on all four of these feet, we'll open them up and then set them down into the four receiver pucks that are built in to the factory underbed rails. Once they're all installed, we'll just turn those to lock them in place, and we'll pass our pin through there, so it is going to allow us to take full advantage of that factory prep system, and so that we don't have to worry about above bed rails, so we're gonna have full bed access just like our truck is intended for. This does have a sturdy steel construction, so it is going to give us a gross towing weight of 31,000 pounds. more

So, this is what our PowerRide fifth wheel hitch looks like. As you can see here, all of our components have that dark gray finish, which is actually a powder-coated finish. Therefore, it's gonna be very durable.
